What I am hoping to accomplish through my senior project is to discover the power that makeup holds to transform a persons facial features. Many people see makeup as a way to hide their insecurities or imperfections but I see makeup as a way to be creative and to express your personality through eye shadows and lip colors. I believe makeup is a great way for creativity to blossom and to boost self-esteem which is something different from what many people see it as. Makeup should be about feeling good and confident, not about the misguided judgments of trying to look fake or be someone else, its about enhancing your already beautiful features and not being afraid to show it off. So by the end of the year, what I want to walk away with from my senior project is being able to understand that makeup shouldn't be thought as a way of deception but as a way to feel and look powerful.
