Blog 8: Independent Component 1 Proposal

1.  Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
My plan for IC #1 is to help plan the hair and makeup designs for the upcoming drama play at Ipoly High School. I have helped in the past but this would require more involvement from myself and will ultimately give me enough hours to log and complete.
For this component, I was thinking of making sketches of hair and possibly makeup designs for each character and then put them to the test later on. From that point, I would document the progress of the looks and once the show date comes closer, I would take pictures of the final hair and makeup looks that made it into the production.

2.  Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
I already explained it in the answer above but basically make sketches, try them out, and document the process until the final look.

3.  Explain how what you will be doing will help you explore your topic in more depth.
There's a difference between theatre and everyday makeup. Theatre is more pronounced and out there, it can be fun and witty and creative too while everyday makeup can be redundant because its not changing that often. When doing theatre makeup, it can something fun to do because it can also challenge you, makes you think "How can I achieve that look in 30 seconds" during a scene change with only limited time to go from a boiling red crab face to cleaned up in a Cinderella dress. Theatre makeup is challenging and  I am ready to accept the challenge for senior project.

4.  Update your Senior Project Hours log.
